Fasteners are widely used in our daily life. They are the most commonly used standard parts in various mechanical equipment. All kinds of fasteners can be seen on all kinds of machinery, equipment, vehicles, ships, railways, bridges, buildings, structures, tools, instruments, meters and supplies. So What are fasteners? The fastener is a general term for a class of mechanical parts used when fastening two or more parts (or components) into a whole. It is also called standard parts in the market. There are many different types of fasteners and their uses, including bolts, stud fasteners, screws, nuts, and washers. Bolts, stud fasteners, and screws are all formed on the cylindrical surface to connect other parts. Let's learn more about some threaded fasteners and their accessories.

1. Bolt

Bolts are a type of fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylinder with external threads).    Bolts must be used in conjunction with nuts to fasten and connect two parts with through holes. They are anchoring components to the hardened concrete substrate.

2. Stud fasteners

Stud fasteners also known as double-ended bolts, both ends have a section of thread, no head, its one end must be screwed into the part with the inner threaded hole, the other end must pass through the part with the through hole, and then screw on the nut to fasten the two parts into a whole. It is mainly used when one of the connected parts has a large thickness, requires a compact structure, or is not suitable for connecting with stud fasteners due to frequent disassembly.  

3. Nut

A nut is a fastener with internal thread and used in conjunction with a bolt. It is a mechanical part with internal thread and used in conjunction with a screw to transmit motion or power.
